Blue shirts and red beanies were donned for the Welton Court Film Club’s showing of Wes Anderson’s aquatic adventure…a favourite of many of the attendees, but the first time around for co-host DM who had been saving up watching this movie for the just right time and with just the right people :)
Trivia was an exciting race to the finish with Team Nizu (NS) claiming champion status.
Campari drinks were served, although sadly we had no intern to pour them.
“I’m the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.” And with that, 13 of us gathered for our second event of the Welton Court Movie Club, The Big Lebowski. There were robes, pj pants, a Cowichan sweater and bowling attire, including a most spectacular purple jumpsuit. The White Russians were flowing and the disco ball was up.
A new trivia winner was crowned (N.S. aka ClassyCondor17) in a very lively competition. Who knew that the f-bomb was said 292 times in the movie or that The Dude was in every single scene (in detective noir fashion)!
Thanks again everyone for a very fun night. We truly have the best neighbours ❤️ (although the Dude might say “Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.”)
